Thank you for your interest in the Louisiana Renaissance Festival Student Day. If you have any l questions or need additional information, please call Rick Hight at 985-429-9992 ext 203 or email Rick@la-renfest.com.

Time: Gates open from 9am to 2pm. Students may arrive after 8:30am.
Dates: Grades 7 - 12 Tuesday November 11th
Grades 5 - 9 Wednesday November 12th
Grades K - 6 and Home School Thursday November 13th

These dates are suggested dates to ensure most students attending on any given date are of the same age group. If you are unable to come on a specific date, you are welcome to select a different date for your students to attend.

Admission tickets: Student and adult tickets are $8 each if ordered in advance or tbrough our website. For orders placed prior to October 15th we will give an additional discount of $1 per ticket, making the price $7 per ticket. Ticket reservations may be made any time prior to November 5th, which will allow us to have your complete order waiting for you when you arrive. If you have additional people join your group, they may purchase their tickets at the festival on the day of the event for $9 (plus tax).

Early Payment Bounus: For ticket orders that are paid by November 1st, we will include 1 complimentary chaperone ticket for every 10 student tickets purchased. This is our way of saying 'Thank You' for paying your invoice early.

Advance Order & Unused Tickets: To receive the advance purchase discount rate, we recommend you order enough tickets for everyone thinking of attending when you place your initial order. Tickets added after the deadline will NOT receive the advance order discount. If you have unused tickets you may return them (10 tickets or 10% of your order, whichever is more) for a full refund at the festival ticket booth. Larger adjustments must be coordinated prior to 4pm on Friday November 7th.

Delivery of Tickets: We will mail out all orders as we receive payment. A $7 shipping fee will be added to your order to cover the cost of preparing and shipping your ticket order. Please note that orders paid after November 1st will be held at the festival ticket booth for pickup to ensure they are not lost in shipping.

Basic admission includes access to the festival site, admission to all stage shows and demonstrations. All vendor booths are open during our Student Day program, however some booths that normally carry high cost items may substitute other items to make the event more affordable for students. Rides and games typically run $2-$3 each, drinks are $1-2 each and food items are typically $3-5 each. A water fountain is also available near the Royal Kitchen.

Bag Lunches: Bag lunches are available for $3.75 each and consist of turky with cheese sandwich, chips, fruit, Capri Sun fruit juice and condiments. Bag lunches must be purchased in advance, and will be in boxes for pickup by school. Bag lunch orders are non-refundable and must be paid prior to your arrival. On school day our usual festival concessions, including our turkey legs, will be available. Food items typically range between one and five dollars. You may also elect to bring your own lunches.

Programs: As soon as the Student Day schedule is finalized we will post it on our website. We will also ensure everyone that places an order gets a copy of the schedule. Additional copies will be available for both teachers and students at the festival entrance gate.

Educator Resources: To help you plan your field trip and to help you make the most of the festival, the Louisiana Renaissance Festival, in conjunction with the Renaissance Living History Center, is sponsoring a teacher workshop. As soon as the date and location of this workshop is confirmed, we will send it to all registered teachers and also post it on our website.
